Taylor Racing Welcomes New Challenge with New Series

As Scott Taylor prepares for his 33 year of off-road competition, new challenges are on the horizon. Taylor Racing has committed to running the inaugural season of the Lucas Oil World Series of Off-Road Racing along with  the possibility of select Championship Off-Road Racing events. This could make the longest season of competition the team has ever participated in. Last fall, at the Crandon World Championship banquet, Scott told the sold out crowd he was committed to racing for another five years before stepping out of the driver's seat.

"The first order of business is to win the 2007 WSORR PRO-2WD championship," commented Scott Taylor at the banquet. " We built a new truck for 2006, and had some teething issues, but we were in the hunt for the championship right up to the last weekend of racing. With 2006 behind us,  2007 will be a very promising year for Taylor Racing."

In March, Scott, along with fellow competitors Scott Douglas and Chad Hord, were appointed to the WSORR PRO Driver’s Advisory Council. The Council will provide racer consultation to the World Series in the areas of safety, rules, marketing, track design, scheduling, sponsors and more. This honor is very important to Scott, as his views help shape the future of the World Series of Off-Road Racing.

Once again Scott Taylor and his team have all his 2006 sponsors on board for the WSORR 2007 Tour.

Skyjacker Suspensions leads the way as title sponsor as Scott depends on his truck's Skyjacker-engineered suspension to keep his Roush Performance powered Ford F-150  in control and at the front of the pack.

For over twenty five years, BFGoodrich Tires have continued to offer Scott Taylor the ultimate in traction on and off the race track.

Miller Electric has continued it support as its welding equipment perform flawlessly at the shop and at the track.

The folks at Automatic Trans Design enable Scott to get all that power to the rear wheels with its bullet-proof race proven C-6 transmission.

Justice Brothers keeps the race truck clean and well lubricated enabling the team to maintain its high level of professionalism.

Russ Wernimont Designs continues to design an awesome race chassis as Russ and Scott continually work together to improve an already fast race truck.

The list of associate sponsors includes: Auto Meter, MSD Ignition, Mobil 1, Ringers Gloves, Phil's Inc,. Howe, K & N Filters, CNC, Boatec, and Stitches by Taylor.

The first race of the Lucas Oil World Series of Off-Road Racing is May 19-20, at the Steele County Fairgrounds in Owatonna, MN just outside of Minneapolis.
