Taylor Consistency Keeps the Team in Front
The Mole Lake Casino Off-Road Championships in Antigo, Wisconsin was the host for Rounds 3 and 4 of the Lucas Oil CORR series. Unseasonably hot and humid weather was a welcome relief to the usually cool and wet weather of years past. With the covered grandstand completely filled, the CORR competitors were ready for battle.

Round 3
With 11 trucks and staring in 8th position the #1 BFGoodrich Ford F-150 got off the line well.
Scott quickly worked his way through the pack and came out of the 1st turn in 4th place.

The horsepower of the Roush Performance powerplant enabled Scott to catch the 3rd place truck of Kevin Probst. As Probst proceeded to go up on two wheels Taylor was able to take over 3rd place. In the end Scott has able to gain one more position to come home a solid 2nd place. Scott felt the truck ran flawless all day just ran out of time to take to challenge for the lead.

Round 4
As the green flag dropped Scott had his BFGoodrich Tires really hooked up and found himself in 2nd place heading onto the back side of the track. Suddenly the red
flag came out due to a huge tire marker finding its way into the middle of the track. Once a front end loader put it back in its rightful place, the race was restarted with the trucks lined up in the original starting positions.

The restart wasn’t as clean as the first time; the Skyjacker BFGoodrich Ford F-150 came into the 1st turn in 7th position. Trying to work his way through the pack, Scott spun and went back to 9th. Now Scott had to really fight to get to the front.

As the race continued, Scott Taylor and his Skyjacker BFGoodrich Ford F-150 proceded through the field. As the laps were winding down, Scott was in 3rd place with the two front-runners in his sights. As the three trucks headed in to the final lap, Scott needed Baldwin and Renezeder to get bottled up going through the last turn to have chance at the lead. The lead trucks raced cleanly, with Scott Taylor taking home a respectable 3rd place win. Another podium finish for the team and clean sweep for BFGoodrich Tires!

“The competition is really incredible this year. Practically everyone in the field has a legitimate shot at the win. The new tire regulations have made the Pro-2 field really strong. We are still working to find the right tire pattern for our truck. Look for our setup for Crandon to be right on. We know BFGoodrich Tires are #1!!! Just look at the standings, BFGoodrich Tires hold 4 of the top 5 spots in Pro-2.” – Scott Taylor

After four rounds of racing Scott Taylor has a two-point lead. Next race the Forest County Potawatomi Bingo Brush Run June 25-26, 2005 in Crandon, WI.
